Al Wood isn’t the only sweet-shooting Tar Heel in his family.
Al’s daughter, 5′-11″ junior Candace Wood, sank a beautiful three-pointer to put Carolina on top as they battled to hold on to the game against Virginia in Carmichael Arena tonight. Then Candace stepped to the line twice for 1-and-1’s and calmly drained all four shots to ice the game for the Heels.
Candace has missed only one free throw all season.
Dad was in the stands watching.
I think she got the gene.
